Date and time conversions

Table 4–2 details the conversions for date and time between the AppServer and the .NET Open Client.

Table 4–2: .NET Open Client DATE, DATETIME, and DATETIME-TZ conversions

Progress data type	Process
DATE	Input: Extract Date portion. Output: Time is set to midnight.
DATETIME	Input and Output: Date and Time preserved.
DATETIME-TZ	Input: Use time zone of the .NET Client. Output: Convert to .NET Client time zone.
